NEW WORK RECENTLY ADDED!
Valentino, Jean Paul Gaultier, Yohji Yamamoto, Vivienne Westwood = Inspiration. After years working in NYC and the fashion industry, I relocated to the Pocono Mountains of North East Pennsylvania where my studio is now located. Monthly trips back into Brooklyn & NYC to visit galleries and studios continue to energize me and provide fuel for my studio practice which mixes traditional fine art materials with cloth and construction process from haute couture tailoring.
“Washington’s pieces are the perfect balance of artistry and execution. Jean Paul Gaultier, Yohji Yamamoto, Valentino and Vivienne Westwood may inspire the narrative but it is Washington’s deft palette of textiles, paper and oil that tells the story.”
