In this latest evolution of Subway Sonnets, classical figures enter the visual language of contemporary urban life. Drawing on the layered surfaces of New York City- weathered advertisements, graffiti, torn posters, and fragments of popular culture-the paintings bring ancient ideals of beauty, power, and permanence into conversation with the fleeting, often irreverent imagery of the present.

Each work combines painting, collage, image transfers, and gestural mark-making to create surfaces that feel accumulated over time.

This new direction expands the series rather than replacing it, with the original urban-inspired works continuing alongside it.

Commissions & Collaborations
Works can be developed for specific interiors, incorporating architectural references, location-inspired imagery, custom typography, and tailored palettes. Available in a range of scales and configurations, including large-format paintings and multi-panel installations. Select image licensing is also available for commercial projects.
